Crafted in Dehua, Fujian — historically known as the City of Ceramics — this 30ml tea cup is made from Lao Yanni clay (aged rock clay) and finished using the traditional kohiki technique.
Kohiki involves applying a white slip over darker clay before firing. As the slip dries, organic textures and subtle surface crackle appear. These natural markings are part of the aesthetic and do not affect function.
The exterior features a carved fluted pattern that enhances grip and highlights the earthy glaze transitions. Inside, the cup is finished with a silver lining that adds thermal responsiveness and a refined contrast to the textured clay body.
