This small ceramic cat tea pet is crafted from rustic coarse stoneware in Dehua, Fujian — a region known for traditional ceramic production.
Fired at high temperature, the surface features a natural, antique-style texture with subtle speckling and tonal variation. The rough finish is intentional, giving the piece a weathered, earthy character.
Designed for Gongfu tea rituals, the tea pet can be placed on a tea tray and gently rinsed with tea during sessions. Over time, the surface may deepen in tone as it absorbs tea, developing a natural patina.
